ADMISSION PROCESS 2025-26
Welcome to New Indian Model School, Dubai.

We understand that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions. And because seats at NIMS, Dubai is highly limited, we urge parents to apply for their child’s seat at the earliest.
The school follows the CBSE and Kerala Board Curriculums and adheres to the UAE laws and KHDA Guidelines. The academic year commences in April and ends in March.
Admission process for new academic year commences in the month of Oct/Nov of the previous academic year and depends on the availability of seats.
The process to apply for admission is straightforward, making it easy for both students and parents.
a) Admission Age:
The below criteria are laid by KHDA and is strictly adhered by the school.

b) Admission-Related Fees
1. A registration fees of AED 100/-(non–refundable) should be paid through the Skiply app or at the school fee counter.
2. Once the admission is granted, the admission fee, annual fee, fee for ID, Diary and Magazine along with the First Installment fee are to be paid for finalizing the admission of the student.

Application Process:
Step 1: Fill the Online Registration form and upload all the mandatory documents and then submit the form.
Step 2: After submission, you will receive an auto-generated Email with a temporary registration number.
Step 3: Once the form is submitted, the school will contact you to schedule an entrance test and interview.
Step 4: Bring your child at the scheduled time for the interview or entrance test with all the documentations.
Step 5: Kindergarten to Grade VIII, IX and XI students will take the entrance test and will have an interactive session with the concerned supervisors. The interactive session is to find out what the student knows and what path is most suitable for the student.
Step 6: Upon completion of the entrance test, your child will be placed in the rank list. Depending on the entitlement in the rank list, the admission team will contact the parents within 48 hours in order to complete the process of admission by paying the first installment fees, wherein the documents are verified, and a unique student ID will be generated which will be quoted by the parent as well as the school for all kinds of communication.
Step 7: If the parent opts for school transport the consent of the school transport is to be obtained.
CAT4 Test (Cognitive Abilities Test)
On the successful completion of the admission process your ward will have to sit for a CAT4 Test before he/she joins the school in the month of April.
Please note:
• If your ward has done the CAT4 Test from another institution recently, then he/she need not sit for the test. In such a case please share the descriptive results with the Admission Department.
• If your ward has not done the CAT4 Test, he/she will have to sit for the test on the school premises before the academic year 2025-2026 commences. The Admission Department will share details of the test and the schedule.
Students of Determination:
Please let the School Authority or the Admission team know if the child has any Special needs (Communication/Behavior/Vision/Hearing/Physical/Learning). Child may be exempted from the school entrance exam if valid diagnostic reports are submitted (not older than 1 year).
Documents Required:
All Grades:
• Two Passport size photographs of the child.
• Photocopy of Child’s & Parents Passport (front & back).
• Photocopy of Child’s & Parents Emirates ID (front & back).
• Copy of Vaccination/Immunization Card and Medical records from the previous school (for students coming from UAE schools).
Grade 2 and above:
• Two Passport size photographs of the child.
• Photocopy of Child’s & Parents Passport (front & back).
• Photocopy of Child’s & Parents Emirates ID (front & back).
• Copy of Vaccination/Immunization Card, Medical records from the previous school (for students coming from UAE schools).
• Transfer Certificate (attested from UAE Foreign Affairs) from the previous school.
• School Report cards of the last Academic Year (Grade 1 onwards).
Other Information:
The parents will be invited for an orientation session before the school commences.
Transfer Certificate Attestation:
Outside UAE Schools’ TC is to be attested: –
1. From Home Country:
a) Local attestation AEO/DEO/CBSE (if school is affiliated to CBSE).
b) Indian Consulate (IVS Global Attestation Service (Opp: Al Nasar Sports
Club,Business Atrium Bldg,201,Oud Metha,Dubai).
c) Minstry of Foreign Affairs,UAE(MOFA),Opp.Ansar Gallery,Karama,Dubai.
2. Inside UAE Schools’ TC to be attested from:
• Respective Ministry of Education Zone.
